As far as General Leung could see,

Kwangsi would be victorious, but in the end it would

be overwhelmed by superior forces from Nanking unless

Feng Yu-hsiang simultaneously fought Chiang Kai-shek.

General Leung requested me to convey his

respects to His Excellency the Governor, the

Honourable Colonial Secretary, yourself and Sir

Shouson Chow. He has seen the Honourable Mr. T.

H. King himself.

(Sa.) R.H. Kotewall.

25th April, 1929.
